How we work

A trading house that keeps its own books.

Manifest Trading buys, ships, clears and stores its own cargo. That is why our quotations hold, our permits are on file, and our deliveries match their papers.

The house rules

Four rules we are audited on.

1

Nothing ships unapproved

Every purchase order and sales contract is approved before it is sent, and amended on paper, never by a phone call.

2

Every cost has a container

Freight, duty, brokerage and trucking are billed against the shipment they belong to, so the cost of each lot is known, not averaged away.

3

Every peso at its own rate

Supplier invoices at the rate of the day, advances and deposits at the rate they were paid, gains and losses on exchange booked when they happen.

4

Every lot traceable

From the bill of lading to the warehouse bin to the delivery receipt — and back, if a buyer ever asks.
